Threatening email to Salman Khan: Another FIR filed against Lawrence Bishnoi, named in the Mosewala murder case

Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar after Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a threatening email.

According to India's news agency PTI, the person who sent the threatening e-mail wrote in Hindi that 'Goldi Bhai (Goldi Brar) wants to sit down and talk to Salman Khan.'

PTI quoted police officials as saying that an FIR has been registered against Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, and a person named Rohit.

It should be noted that Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar are also named in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in a Delhi jail while Goldie Brar is said to be absconding abroad.

This FIR has been filed against Prashant Ganjalkar. According to the police, Prashant Ganjalkar frequents Salman Khan's residence in Bandra and also looks after the affairs of one of Salman Khan's companies.

Police officials told PTI regarding the FIR that Prashant Ganjalkar was present at Salman Khan's apartment on Saturday when the email was received.

It was written in the email that 'Salman Khan must have seen the recent interviews of Laurence Bishnoi and if not, he should watch this interview.'

After that, it was written that 'If Salman Khan wants to end this matter, sit and talk with Goldie Brar face to face.'

It should be noted that earlier in June, Salman Khan received a threat from an unknown person when Salman Khan's father Salim Khan went for a walk on his usual route in the morning and on his bench in Bandra. When he came to sit down, his bodyguard found a slip on the bench.

When Salim Khan opened the slip, there was a message written in it 'Salman Khan and Salim Khan, very soon you are also going to meet the same fate as Sidhu Moses Wale.'

Salim Khan informed the Mumbai police about the threat and lodged a report at the Bandra police station.

Fame due to the Bishnoi community

The Bishnoi community gained notoriety when the community filed a case against Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and some other actors for illegal hunting of blackbuck and chinkara deer near Kanjodhpur.

In the year 1998, Salman, Saif Ali, Sonali Bendre, Tabu, and Neelam were shooting for the film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' in the suburbs of Jodhpur at that time.

The case went on for several years in the Jodhpur sub-court. In 2018, a Jodhpur court sentenced Salman Khan to five years in prison for hunting a blackbuck, while all other actors were released.

However, in July 2022, the Rajasthan High Court acquitted Salman Khan of the charge of illegal deer hunting based on insufficient evidence.

The Bishnoi community is still very active in the conservation of animals and nature. They believe that 'animals have holy souls' and killing them is a 'great sin'.

The Bishnoi community resides in the districts of Jaisalmer and Barmer from the Bikaner district of Rajasthan. Some of their population is also in Haryana, Punjab, but most of them are settled in the desert areas of Rajasthan. He belongs to Rajput and Jat communities. These people do not eat meat and avoid alcohol.

In the areas of Rajasthan inhabited by the Bishnois, deer, deer, and other animals are seen roaming the plains without fear. This is because of the protection they enjoy from the Bishnoi community.

Bishnois do not allow anyone to kill animals. They are also strongly against cutting trees.

Bishnoi usually wears a white dhoti and a Rajasthani red turban. Women usually wear long plain shirts. This community rears cows, goats, camels, etc., and cultivates millets.

Bishnois take special care of cleanliness in and around their homes. They live in small villages in the desert plains, called Dhani.

Their houses are made of grass. They coat the walls and floors with cow dung to prevent evil spirits from entering their hooves.

With time, the new generation of the Bishnoi community is moving away from the traditional lifestyle towards education and mingling with city life but the tribe is still known for its animal protection.
