Rishi Singh from Ayodhya, India has won the title of Indian Idol 13.


The 13th season of the popular singing reality shows Indian Idol concluded on Sunday in Mumbai. The judges of the show were Hamish Reshammiya, Vishal Dadlani, and Neha Kakkar.


Among the finalists of the show were Rishi Singh (Ayodhya), Badipta Chakraborty (Kolkata), Chirag Kotwal (Jammu), Sonakshi Kar (Kolkata), Shivam Singh (Vadodara) and Debusmita Roy (Kolkata).


After fierce competition, Ayodhya's Rishi Singh won the title of Indian Idol 13 and took home the trophy. Debusmita Roy and Chirag Kotwal stood second and third respectively.


Indian Idol winner Rishi Singh received a check of Rs 25 lakh and a new car from Sony TV as a prize.


Second runner-up Debosmita Rai received a check of Rs.5 lakh and third runner-up Chirag Kotwal received a check of Rs.3 lakh. While the rest of the people were given a check of one lakh each.


Who is Rishi Singh?


Born on 2 July 2003 in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, 19-year-old Rishi Singh completed his primary education at The Cambrian School. He is doing his graduation in Aviation Management from Dehradun. This is his third year.


Belonging to a middle-class family, Rishi's father Rajinder Singh is a government employee and his mother Anjali Singh is a housewife. In an episode during the show, Rishi revealed that he is the only child of his parents and was adopted as a child.


Rishi Singh says that his parents were not happy with his music career and wanted Rishi to get a good job after his studies. But seeing his son's interest in music, he fully supported him.


Used to sing hymns in gurudwaras and temples


Rishi had no formal musical education, but from childhood, he sang bhajans at the gurudwara and temple near his home.


In 2019, Rishi also participated in the 11th season of Indian Idol but did not advance past the fourth round.


Indian cricketer Virat Kohli also recently praised her singing and also follows her on social media Instagram. Director-producer Rakesh Roshan has also offered Rishi Singh to sing in Hrithik Roshan's next film.


In May 2022, Rishi Singh released his first single song 'Ultaja Meri'. The song was produced by Melody Records.


In 2019, Rishi Singh also performed at a music concert at the Ram Katha Museum in Ayodhya.


Rishi has also been singing covers of many popular Hindi cinema songs and uploading them on YouTube.


After singing 'Pehla Pyaar' from the movie 'Kabir Singh in Indian Idol, she was given a standing ovation by the judges and was given the 'Golden Mic' for the song.
