'Tehreek Jihad Pakistan': Does the organization claiming responsibility for recent extremist attacks exist or not?

There have been several recent attacks linked to extremism in Pakistan that have been claimed by an unknown organization that the authorities, and even officials of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, know nothing about or are reluctant to disclose.

Many analysts are describing it as a mysterious organization and believe that the spokespersons of this organization accept responsibility for these attacks but do not reveal anything about the nature of their organization.

The name of this organization is being told as 'Tehreek Jihad Pakistan' and a few days ago the same organization claimed responsibility for the attack on the FC camp in the Muslim Bagh area of Balochistan province of Pakistan.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Army, immediate action was taken after the attack and the area was cleared of militants. Six attackers were killed in the attack and six security personnel present in the camp were also killed. According to ISPR, the attackers were armed with modern weapons.

The group has previously claimed responsibility for attacks in Chaman, Bolan, Swat's Kabal,,,, and Lakki Marwat, but there are at least two attacks in which no evidence of the group's presence has been found.

When and how did this organization come about?

The organization's name came to light a few months ago when it first claimed responsibility for an attack on security forces in the border town of Chaman in Balochistan province.

Senior journalist and director of news at Khorasan Diary, Ehsanullah Tipu, told the BBC that in February this year, he received a message on the telephone that appeared to be from a number in a European country.

"The caller gave his name as Mulla Muhammad Qasim and said that he had founded an organization called 'Tehreek Jihad Pakistan' but did not provide any further details about the organization."

He said that two days later, he received a message on his mobile phone, in which it was said that he accepted the responsibility for the attack on security forces personnel in the border town of Chaman in Balochistan on behalf of his organization.

Two security personnel were killed in this attack.

Abdul Sayed, an analyst who has done extensive research on extremism and related issues in Pakistan, Afghanistan,,, and Central Asia, told the BBC that Tehreek Jihad Pakistan is still a mysterious organization with no evidence of its leadership, members,, or existence. no.

The formation of this organization was announced through short text messages sent to some journalists and a social media account or text messages sent to some journalists who claimed responsibility for the extremist attacks.

So far the names of the head and spokesmen of this organization have been introduced but there is no evidence regarding their past or real character.

The spokesperson of this organization writes his name as Mulla Muhammad Qasim, has not spoken to anyone and has only sent written messages despite the request and efforts of journalists.

How much truth, how much ambiguity in responsibility for the attacks?

So far there have been five such attacks in Pakistan for which the spokesperson of this organization has accepted the responsibility. Of these five attacks, two were attacks in which no evidence was found of the organization's involvement.

Among them, an attack took place near a police vehicle in Bolan in March this year, in which nine officers, including a civilian, were killed. Tehreek Jihad Pakistan claimed responsibility but did not give any details.

After that, Daesh claimed responsibility by releasing the details of this attack on its website 'Amaq'.

On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said  no organization has accepted the respoility for this attacks.

This was followed in April by blasts at an anti-terrorism police station in Kabal, Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which 17 people were killed.

Tehreek Jihad Pakistan also claimed responsibility for the attack through a message, but later investigations revealed that the blasts were caused by explosives inside the police station and there was no evidence of an attacker coming from outside.

Also last month, a post-graduate college in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Lakki Marwat district was attacked, in which sophisticated weapons were used. The responsibility for this attack was also accepted by the spokesperson of Tehreek Jihad Pakistan Mullah Muhammad Qasim who said that this attack was carried out by their commander Abuzar.

The Taliban's view of the organization

There is complete silence at the official level about this. Attempts were made to contact the officials of the Anti-Terrorism Department in this regard, but they did not say anything about this organization.

Official sources say that this organization may be related to the banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan or Al-Qaeda etc. Sources said that no one has been told who are the people in this organization.

Mohammad Khorasani, the spokesperson of the banned organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, also said that he has no information about this organization and hf is trying to contact the people of this organization.

In this regard, Khalid Sirbakf Mohmand, who identified himself as an official of the TTP Zhob region, told the BBC that no such organization exists, but it only exists to the extent of social media (Facebook).

He said that ifcould was an organizaticould woold,d havarefici anodizationad,,ond an an organizational structure, only taking responsibility for attacks does not create auserotherion.

Ththenclear situation for analysts

Senior journalist Mushtaq Yousafzai in therear said that there is no clear information about the organization, but according to their information and received information, these are people connected with Tehreek-e-Tmay anothertan and may maybether name of the same organization.

The Taliban do not want to take responsibility for the attacks they accept under the name of this organization. There are no signs of the existence of any other organization in this region and the methods of operations being carried out in these areas are similar to TTP.

Researcher and journalist Abdul Sayed says that the organization's responsibility for the attacks suggests that it is a sympathetic group of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan or has a secret plan.

For example, it has so far claimedin major attin in the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Zhob division of Balochistan, where the operational network of Tehreek-e-Taliban is located, but Tehreek-e-Taliban has not expressed any concern or response to this organization or its operations. Not expressed. Although this can be considered a threat to him because the history and politics of these organizations show that they do not tolerate any of their rivals easily.

"Similarly, the other important question is that these were large-scale attacks, which certainly seem to be the actions of a large organized organization."

Researcher Abdul Sayed said that the second important point is that Tehreek Jihad Pakistan claimed responsibility for the suicide attack by the Pakistan branch of the Islamic State or Daesh Pakistan, a rival of Tehreek Taliban in Balochistan, which was apparently aimed at Daesh. The claim was to appear weak but till now Tehreek Jihad Pakistan has not accepted responsibility for any such attack by Tehreek Taliban.

Ehsanullah Tipu Mehsud says that in his view, there is ambiguity in the responsibilities that have been accepted in the name of thisorganizationand in the extent of the messages that have been communicated to this organization. No concrete answer has been found so far.

Abdul Sayed believes that inknewrthatill be known what the reality of Tehreek thatakistan is because if it is a secret organization of Tehreek Taliban, then surely this relationship cannot rema,in hidden for long and, if it is from within Tehreek Taliban. If there is an insurgency or a new rival group, that too will soon become clear.
