A man who allegedly fathered more than 550 children worldwide through sperm donation has been barred from further donations.

A 41-year-old man named Jonathan could now face a fine of more than 100,000 euros for donating sperm.

It should be noted that in his home country, the Netherlands, he was banned in 2017 after it was discovered that he fathered more than a hundred children.

Despite this, Jonathan continued to donate sperm outside the country.

A court in The Hague has ordered him to provide a list of all the clinics where he has donated sperm.

It is said that he cheated hundreds of women.

Under Dutch clinical regulations, a man cannot father more than 25 children from 12 families through sperm donation.

However, judges in court said the man had started donating sperm in 2007 and had helped father between 550 and 600 children so far.

A case was filed against him by an organization working on children's rights and a woman who became a mother with his donation.

More than a hundred children were born from Jonathan's sperm in the Netherlands, but he donated the sperm to a clinic from where it was sent to other countries.

During the hearing of the case, the judge said that the court bans him from donating sperm.

According to the court order, he has also been banned from contacting anyone with this intention.

The court said that he had deliberately misrepresented to potential sperm donors in the past the number of children that had been born from their sperm.

The court said that 'all these parents are now facing the fact that the children of their family have become part of an extended family network which they did not choose.'

The court said that it is possible that due to this there will be negative consequences for these children.

It should be noted that sperm donors are cautioned to limit their services to reduce the chances of future matings with the same sperm.

It should be remembered that such scandals have come to light in the past in the Netherlands.

In 2019, there was a scandal in which it was revealed that a doctor had helped his patients have 20 children by donating his own sperm without their knowledge.
