Oh, this message should not have been sent. Why is this spelling wrong? What did I send this?

Of course, after sending a message on WhatsApp, this thought will come to your mind many times and you will have no choice but to delete the message, but WhatsApp has solved this problem for you.

WhatsApp says it is going to give users 15 minutes to edit a message they send to someone.

This is a feature that WhatsApp's rival platforms Telegram and Signal already had.

WhatsApp says that these messages can be edited 15 minutes after they are sent. WhatsApp is part of the American technology company Meta, which also owns Facebook and Instagram.

The feature will be rolled out to more than two billion WhatsApp users in the coming weeks. WhatsApp's largest market is India, where it has 48.7 million users.

"We're excited to give you more control over your chats, from correcting spelling mistakes to adding additional details to a message," the messaging service said in a blog post-Monday.

It also reads that 'all you have to do is press the button used for sanding for some time after which the edit option will appear in front of you which will give you 15 minutes.'

Edited messages will be tagged 'edited' so that those who receive the message know that a change has been made, but they will not be shown when the message was changed.

Keep in mind that this feature was introduced by Facebook a decade ago.

Facebook said at the time that more than half of its users visit the website via mobile phones, making typing errors more likely. Updates that are changed on Facebook are tagged as 'edited'.

Last year, Elon Musk's social media platform Twitter announced to give this feature to its subscribers. Under this feature, a post can be edited multiple times within 30 minutes. "Tweeting will now be easier and less annoying," Twitter said in its blog post at the time.
